For example, in 2001 the German Police registered 2,373,556 traffic accidents overall in Germany. That are about 5% of all vehicles in Germany. Because in most cases two victims are involved in an accident, the possibility to be confronted with an traffic accident is fairly high. Most accidents on our streets cause fortunately only material damage. But it has also be mentioned that with 375,345 accidents persons have been injured and nearly 7,000 persons were killed. As you can understand motorcyclists are concerned in a special way, because their body is exposed to the forces directly, that occur during an accident.
